Got another email from Ryan:

Just wanted you to know, I was able to find a 1080P version of the MGS IV:Courage trailer! [1920 x 1080 ~34Mbps 128kbps ACC stereo]

Seems they only released the HD version in the Japanese territories, so unfortunately it has Japanese subtitles, but the voice overs for the trailer itself are still all in English.

Also, might want to make note that this game is pegged for release next Thursday, June 12th. I for one, can’t wait!

I don’t typically post non-HD trailers, but as Ryan (who provided the download link) says, “Check it out, it’s CG visual masturbation! Looks very good on the HDTV.”

The original video size is 640×480, but there are 2 black bars (top and bottom) and removing that results in a video size of 640×360, not quite HD yet. However, the best quality out there in the public that I could find was 480×270, so I’ve decided to share it with you guys.

The link above isn’t a direct download link. It is on a file sharing site, but it appears to be simple. Only some ads and no wait time is a bonus. Its speed was a bit lacking, as it never appeared to go past 100KB/s, so the 70MB download took a bit longer. If I do find a HD version of this 2008 trailer, I’ll post about it again.

Just realized Gears of War 2 was announced at GDC08. Looks like it’s scheduled to be released November 2008. Woot! Guess I should go and finish playing the original Gears of War.
