Anyone else seeing a corrupted image? It loads partially in Firefox, and doesn’t even load in IE.

Another issue with this would be ILM would have extra work to do. The film was finished some days before the world premiere, and having dinobots would mean they would need CGI for both forms.

I think it really depends on the design. If you purely took the original transformers design and made it live-action, they’d look horrible. They took the design, added TONS of detail, and made it look cool. I don’t see why you can’t make a mechanical triceratop or t-rex cool.

You can understand where I am coming from though, like in revenge of the fallen, people saw mechanical aliens robots, which looked awesome. They represented the top of the range vehicles in one mode, and awesome looking bots in the other. A mechanical Triceratops for example will look just too stupid (imo).

This looks pretty damn good. Love Robin Williams and it’s great to see him back in comedy films “Old Dogs” and “World’s Greatest Dad” this year.

I have been reading about people wanting Dinobots in the 3rd movie over at Michael Bay’s forums. I know nothing about them, but there is just something off putting about seeing mechanical dinosaurs in a movie.

I watched the Transformers cartoon version during my childhood days. It is nice to know that good computer graphics brought the Transformers back again. I wish to see more of the Dinobots in action perhaps on another sequel.

It is funny how trailers to movies sometimes make the movie a heck of alot better than it would be. Any other good ones coming out this summer?

The second viewing of this movie was not as fun as the first. I must admit I wasn’t all together at midnight when I went to see it on the 19th. Since then I have been paying close attention at Rotten Tomatoes just for the hell of it. And when I went today I came out partially agreeing with them.

The most disappointing part was the mis-use of Transformers, the new ones anyway. Again the human cast overwhelmed the film to an extent, with not so great performances from them either.

It is a good job Michael isn’t out to impress the critics as they are tearing this film apart with their comments. It is now officially the lowest % from any of Michael’s films on Rotten Tomatoes.

*Watch your step* As the elderly critics make their way out of the cinema on their zimmer frames. I think it was a bit too fast paced for them.
